Pioneers of Sports Marketing in South Africa
Megapro Holdings (Pty) Ltd has been a pioneer in the South African sports industry since 1986. Starting small, with Ockie Oosthuizen, George Rautenbach, and Theunie Lategan as the founding shareholders, our first rugby client was Randburg Rugby Club, followed soon after by Ellis Park and Transvaal Rugby. In 1992, we signed our first contract with SA Rugby, a relationship we are proud to maintain to this day.
Our initial focus was on raising funds for rugby clubs and unions, as well as cricket unions. But as the industry evolved, so did we. Our specialties expanded into a full-service commercial offering across all major sporting codes in South Africa.
We have been involved in every major successful sporting event in the country. Sport is not just our business – it is our legacy, our culture, and the passion that drives everything we do.
With 40 years of industry experience, Megapro is the premier partner for rights holders, brands, and fans seeing to unlock value in the dynamic world of sport and entertainment in South Africa and beyond.
